Peace out weekend {.43}

Another one flew by, but I can’t say it wasn’t productive. I have gotten a lot of things done. More mentally than anything else. Just think about what I want to do with my life, personal goals I have set for myself and just a vision of the exciting things life has to offer my family and I. A pretty simple weekend, but so rewarding at the same time.

The simplest things are often the truest.

Fuzzy Weekend {.039}

Dear weekend,

You were the same this time as you always are, eventful and fast paced. Most events took place at home this time. I was struggling with not having the desire to do homework during the week, so I did it all this weekend. It actually felt good to focus on one thing at a time without worrying about going to bed to get up for work in the morning. I finished  so much quicker that I would normally. I usually take five days to complete homework this time I only took 6-7 hours between two days. Humpf. New strategy to consider I guess. I did some much needed cleaning again which made me feel all fuzzy inside, but most importantly I got to spend some much needed quality time with my little munchkin face. My mommy stopped by to have breakfast with us too. She was in Maryland for a Jazz festival and couldn’t go back to New Jersey without seeing us of course. The man was working all weekend. So proud of the moves he is making in the fitness industry already. Overall it was a good weekend. I can’t complain.

I told you that I was going to catch you up with what’s been going on lately, but for now I’ll just leave you with some pictures to enjoy on this beautiful Monday morning. They are from an evening two weeks before at the park while watching Quentin film a video for work. I’ve got to admit, they are some of my favorites I’ve ever taken of Jayden. No poses, no planning, just the organic bliss of a kid, being a kid.

Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”

The pictures {and title} say it all. The weekend that passed was the best I’ve ever had.

Jayden’s Birthday party was nice & intimate. Just close family & friends like I wanted. The day of his birthday {Sunday} was a blast! We {Quentin, Jayden & I – ONLY} went to Port Discovery {a little kid’s museum}& had lunch downtown. It was nice to see Jayden enjoying the time with us so much. I’m certainly going to make that a yearly tradition. It’s nice to have no one around but us three on his special day so he can have our undivided attention. This weekend turned out to be just what I wanted to give him for his Birthday; memories – not things. He has enough things.

Happy Third Birthday my pint size ray of sunshine. You have put smiles on so many and have changed tons of people’s lives…especially mine. Thank you for being your fun-loving self & giving me your unconditional love no matter what. I’m pretty darn lucky to be your Mom.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count.

It’s the life in your years.

Wuddup Weekend? {.017}

This weekend was better than most. Went on a date to see ‘Think Like A Man’ with my better half. Jayden spent the entire day with his Pop Pop Kenny {they play so cute together}. He got a new truck. {This will make number 17 – it’s a garbage truck that makes lots of noise. JOY.}. Putting empty apple sauce & jelly jars to use around the house is so fun. My kitchen is so clean I want to sleep in it. Books are ordered  & classes are registered for summer semester {nervous}. Next weekend is Jaydens 3RD Birthday Party & actual DOB {cue violins}. Jayden’s Uncle Corey, Gooma Lene & Great Gooma Fran are coming to celebrate!
Life is pretty sweet. Let the week begin.
That it will never come again is what makes life sweet.

Easter Weekend {.007}

Toddler Shoes
Father & Son

Last weekend was filled with:
A trip to Quentin’s old school. Cute sayings by Jayden. A visit from Grandpy. No cooking {YES!}. Short naps. Spring breeze. Cruising downtown. Looking for new digs. Church. A well behaved young man. Son & Daddy bonding time {No school for Jayden on Friday…or today!}. Freshly made granola. Farmers market goodness. Sleeping in ’till 7:00AM {That’s a treat for me}.

Most importantly. I got to experience all of those wonderful things with my family. That’s what made my Easter so special.

How was your Easter weekend?!
